Guitars and Mandolins
Even though I have a full-time harp making business, I seem to find the time to build a few guitars and mandolins each year. I am intrigued by a variety of historical guitar designs. Rather than collecting vintage guitars, I try to make copies of interesting guitars I have seen and played. Since I can't keep them all, (they do tend to pile up), we ocassionally offer them for sale.

Here is a summary of our in-stock guitars and mandolins Updated March 15, 2008 :

Selmer Style Guitar , Mahogany and Spruce $2500
J-185 Style Guitar, Koa and Sitka Spruce $3500
F Style Octave Mandolin, Maple $2500

Dave is working on 2 more guitars and a couple of mandolins. We'll put up pictures as soon as they're done in late April or May.

J-185 Koa Guitar, inlaid peghead $3500. This guitar is based on the popular "small jumbo" developed by Gibson in the 1950s and used by the Everly Brothers.

F style Octave Mandolin Maple Archtop with scroll. Sunburst stain and ebony head stock with Abalone inlay $2500. This instrument is tuned one octave lower than a standard mandolin.
