Paradigm Ceiling and In-Wall speaker systems fit flush to the ceiling or wall.  Shown here is the CS-50R Ceiling Speaker.

We have the B&K CT300 Receiver, CK1.2 and CK1.1 Keypads set up in our store.  The system can play three independent sources or the same source through all Zones.  The Keypads allow control of the Source Units and the Receiver.

It is much easier to find hidden wiring after the drywall is installed if pictures and measurements are available.  Yes there are wire locating devices and we have those, but we always take pictures and measurements.  If you do it yourself, please take pictures and measurements.

In this not so unusual example, the homeowner was not sure where he wanted us to install his in-wall speakers.  In fact, he made a decision after picking out the furniture.  This job would not have been much fun without pictures!

When designing a custom cabinet remember to allow room for adequate ventilation and for equipment connections.  Generally, allow at least three inches of air space above Receivers and Amplifiers.  Also, a Satellite or Cable "Box" Receiver needs adequate ventilation.  If solid wood doors hide the equipment, they also seal in heat and seal out your Infrared Remote communication with the equipment.  You will need to add an IR Repeater System to operate your Remote Controls with the doors closed.  Glass doors solve the IR problem but not the heat issue.  Equipment shelves should have adequate cutouts for cables and air circulation.  There has to be a way for cool air to enter the lower part of the cabinet and for the hot air to escape from the upper part of the cavity.

As an example--An Receiver might have a specified depth but that specification usually does not include depth of the Controls in the front and the Input/Output Connections in the rear of the unit.   Therefore we suggest that the cabinet be at least 4" deeper than the depth of the largest component.
