Equipment and Software: Apple Macintosh G3 with 640 MB physical ram running OS 10.2.8 @400MHz; Yamaha CRW8424S 8/4/24 internal CD-R/RW drive; Roxio Toast Titanium 6.0; Carbon Shorten 1.1a4; MacFLAC 2.1.2.
Procedure: Extract entire CD as a disk image (or individual audio tracks - no gaps between them except for compilations - from check-sum verified .shn or .flac files expanded to *.AIFF format then saved to my hard drive as a disc image) using digital audio extraction (DAE), then write the image onto 80-minute brand-name data or music/audio (your choice) CD-R. I use audio disk-at-once (DAO) from the hard drive at 4X (half my burner's rated write speed.) I usually use Sony or Fuji CDR media.
Source: Nothing on the list is known to be MP3-sourced, though I have no means to test them. I try to note any soundtrack defects. I don't listen to every CDR before mailing it, though, so if you receive anything from me with undisclosed defects, or can detect MP3 sourcing, please let me know so I can replace it and amend my list. A great resource to check for known defects is the Blood On The Tracks web site.
Note: I do not knowingly copy (pirate) officially-licensed CDs. If you see anything here that is an official release by Columbia/Bob Dylan, including promos, please inform me so I can remove it from my trade list. I haven't decided if it's still piracy to copy out-of-print releases for other people. I will listen to arguments, but I won't do it unless/until I am convinced it is legal/ethical to do so.

1966 "Manchester Prayer" (SwinginŽ Pig import, 1 CD) attributed to May 17, 1966 Manchester Free Trade Hall performance; however, because bobsboots.com informs 4 of 7 are actually from May 27 Albert Hall, it becomes a grey area for ethical trades. 2000 "The Gorge" 6/17/00 George, WA

2000 "True Love Needs No Company" 10/1/00 Munster

2000 Paris 10/3/00 This set appears to be an independent audience recording, not the Crystal Cat release. There is no filler. The tracks were out of sequence on disk 2, but it was easy to resequence them to match the set list. The tracks have 1-second gaps, but removing them just enhances slight mismatches from the end of one song to the start of the other. The sound is great, though, and I didn't even notice the 1-second gaps until I copied the disks for trading.
